Prasetiya Mulya was founded in 1980 by a group of prominent Indonesian business leaders. The first MBA program in Indonesia was then established in 1982 with assistance from prestigious international scholars and experts. Class Rooms

Building facilities include two main buildings for teaching-learning activities, library, and computer lab. There is an amphitheatre classrooms equipped with LCD projectors, desktop computers, and other multimedia

The Computer Laboratory

The Computer Laboratory complete with both fixed line and wire internet connections is used also to conduct business simulations. Wi-Fi facilities are available in all parts of the campus compound.

Tanoto Library

There is a Tanoto Library, one of the best in the country, with a collection of more than 30,000 books, domestic, and international journals, the ABI CD ROM, a wide range of magazines and internet access for literature research.

Auditorium

An Amphitheatre Auditorium to facilitate some events such a seminar, workshop, guest lecture, CEO lecture, conference, gathering, etc. Auditorium is located at 2nd building 4th floor.

City Life in South of Jakarta

South Jakarta is known for its various subcultures. Nearby campus is Kemang, famous for its entertainment, cultural spots and abundance of restaurants, cafes and galleries. Kemang is also home to 80 percent of Jakarta's expatriate community. This area is located less than 20 minutes from Prasetiya Mulya. Another prominent area near the campus is Jakarta's upscale residential area, Pondok Indah.

The area surrounding the Prasetiya Mulya Cilandak Campus offers everything students could require, including accommodation for different budget available near the campus, serviced apartments, guesthouses and hotels.

Boarding rooms are also available for long-staying students. These rooms are conveniently located near the campus in Cilandak, Fatmawati, Lebak Bulus, Pondok Indah, Cipete, and Pondok Labu areas. Rents vary greatly, but most come in the range of Rp 750,000 up to Rp 2,000,000 a month.

There are a variety of shops and commercial areas located near the campus, including traditional markets, convenience stores, supermarkets (Hero, 7-Eleven, Giant, Food Mart, All-Fresh, Matahari, and Ranch Market) and hypermarkets (Carrefour, Giant, and Lotte Mart). Pondok Indah Mall, one of the first modern malls in Indonesia is just 10 minutes from the campus.

Management Society

Joining students clubs to enhance networking and leadership skills.

PMBS supports variety of student activities to ensure that all students will have well-rounded experience while in the program. Students will be able to maximize their opportunities to network, learn and develop skills through these activities. The Management Society, as a part of PMBS Student Engagement, is a postgraduate student association serving a wide variety of student's needs, interests and passions that will support the student's academic and non-academic performance during their studies.

The Bazaarkustik

Students sell variety of food and beverage in a food bazaar while other students perform acoustic music to entertain the visitors of the event.

The Sport Week Activity

A two-weeks sport activity such as football, basket, running competitions and mini games for students to strengthen relationships among the students themselves and other divisions of PMBS.

The Orientation Night

This activity is to introduce PMBS to new students. It is a good opportunity for the new students to meet others and help them to settle into PMBS life.

Mading (Wall Magazine)

The Wall Magazine is a media for students to develop their writing skills and creativities by sharing trending topics to others.

Regularly meeting for recreational and professional clubs

The Management Society offers 4 students clubs, which are Finance Club, Marketing Club, Entrepreneur Club, and Football Club. These clubs are to help students to get involved in different activities such as group discussions on variety academic topics by inviting guest speakers, football practices and competitions.

The Marketition

Marketition is a case-study-based marketing competition program organized annually with different topic and theme. The purpose of this competition is to challenge student's creativity to analyze the market and build a fresh marketing plan. This year competition was about movie industry in Indonesia, with "40 Days in Europe" film as the case study.

The Management Society Business Improvement (MSBI)

It is a student-run organization dedicated to assist low to middle level companies to grow their businesses. The students will act as consultants for the companies.

Bishi Bashi

Bishi Bashi is one of the activities organized by Management Society to play the game output in the 90 's. The purpose of this activity is to promote interaction among students and also for nostalgia.

Lebih dari 30 tahun berdiri, PT. Aditya Aryaprawira, salah satu perusahaan di bidang logistik, tidak terlepas dari peran besar Adharta Ongkosaputra, MBA (alumni Prasetiya Mulya MBA Modular 1988), founder sekaligus CEO, yang melihat adanya kebutuhan sebuah sistem logistik pada tahun 1980-an. Didirikan pada tanggal 3 November 1986, PT. Aditya Aryaprawira pada awalnya hanya melayani proyek kebutuhan jasa logistik saja hingga mengalami pertumbuhan yang sangat cepat dan mulai mencoba menjadi investor pada tahun 1990–an dengan membeli dan mengoperasikan kapal sendiri. Beberapa krisis ekonomi yang terjadi di Indonesia berhasil dilewati oleh PT. Aditya Aryaprawira  dan perusahaan mampu semakin berkembang. Kini PT. Aditya Aryaprawira Atelah memasuki masa regenerasi dari generasi pertama kepada generasi kedua, salah satunya kepada Aditya Ongkowidagdo, M.M. (alumni Prasetiya Mulya MMR 31).

Badai Krisis Ekonomi Indonesia Tahun 1998

Pada awal berdiri, PT. Aditya Aryaprawira berkembang dengan pesat dan berhasil memenuhi banyak kebutuhan logistik hingga pada tahun 1998 terjadi krisis ekonomi di Indonesia yang membuat perusahaan ini hampir kolaps. Pertukaran mata uang asing yang melemah dan bunga bank yang sangat mahal memaksa Adharta harus menjual banyak aset dan banyak kapal juga harus dilepas. “Jadi misalnya di sini kita investasi 100 miliar dan kita pinjamnya 20 juta dolar, namun karena krisis yang terjadi, 20 juta dolar telah menjadi berkali lipat. Aset kita pun disapu bersih.”, ungkap Adharta.

Menghadapi krisis ekonomi di Indonesia pada tahun 1998, Adharta memilih untuk menggunakan strategi bertahan serta melakukan konsolidasi secara internal dengan mengecilkan perusahaan dan hanya memiliki karyawan 10-15 orang saja. Selebihnya, kebutuhan sumber daya manusia menggunakan tenaga outsource dan hanya dipenuhi jika memang ada kebutuhan. “Waktu itu kita coba untuk bertahan dan seringkali meminta kepada partner kita untuk bersabar menghadapi kondisi ekonomi yang sedang tidak baik.”, kata beliau.

Kondisi Ekonomi Terkini : Uncertainty

Setelah berhasil melalui masa krisis ekonomi pada tahun 1998, Adharta kembali membangun bisnisnya dari nol dan kini telah kembali berkembang. Misalnya saja PT. Aditya Aryaprawira kembali telah memiliki beberapa armada kapal sendiri. Namun, diakui oleh beliau bahwa kondisi ekonomi saat ini memasuki kondisi uncertainty, dimana sebuah kondisi yang tidak dapat dipastikan atau direncanakan. “Kalau tahun 1998 itu ibaratnya orang lagi sakit kakinya hingga diamputasi dan sudah jelas selesai. Tapi kalau sekarang ini, saya gak tau kalo kaki saya potong apakah besok akan selesai atau penderitaannya lebih panjang. Sekarang ini asetnya ada, manusianya ada, tapi kerjaannya yang kadang tidak ada.”, ungkap Adharta.

Persaingan di area logistik sendiri yang semakin hari semakin ketat dan bagi Adhitya persaingan di bidang logistik telah menjadi area red-ocean. Pada awal berdiri, PT. Aditya Aryaprawira masih dapat menjadi salah satu perusahaan yang terbesar di bidangnya dan memiliki sedikit kompetitor. Tetapi fenomena bisnis yang terjadi saat ini semakin merubah batasan industri sehingga tidak hanya perusahaan logistik saja yang ingin mengerjakan area logistik. Misalnya saja, salah satu perusahaan taksi di Indonesia yang awalnya hanya mengantar penumpang saja, kini telah mengangkut kargo juga. Walaupun demikian, PT. Aditya Aryaprawira memiliki strategi untuk mengambil niche market. “Tidak ada orang yang mau kirim barang miliyaran lalu mencari layanan logistiknya di website. Jadi yang pertama dihubungin pasti yang paling dikenal atau yang pernah dipakai.”, jelas Adhitya.

Dampak Besar Prasetiya Mulya

Bagi Adharta, selama proses pembelajaran di Prasetiya Mulya tidak hanya mendapatkan ilmu saja, namun juga belajar menganalisa dan mengambil keputusan. Menurut beliau, kecepatan seorang decision maker dalam mengambil keputusan menjadi kunci penting dari keberhasilan suatu bisnis. Tidak hanya itu saja, beliau juga memperoleh networking yang luas, sehingga membuat mindset beliau semakin terbuka. “Jadi kalo kita punya teman makin banyak, egosentris kita makin kecil”, ungkap Adharta.

Di sisi lain, bagi Adhitya yang sebelumnya telah memperoleh pendidikan di luar negeri selama hampir delapan tahun, merasakan adanya kedekatan yang lebih baik dengan rekan satu angkatan selama berkuliah di Prasetiya Mulya. Proses belajar selama di Prasetiya Mulya juga melatih Adhitya untuk berpikir secara kritis terutama mengenai keterkaitan antara teori dengan implementasi di lapangan. “Basically, yang membentuk saya ya Prasetiya Mulya. Saya berterima kasih kepada Prasetiya Mulya sehingga tau bedanya lapangan dengan teori.”, ungkap Adhitya.

Regenerasi PT. Aditya Aryaprawira

Pada awal berdiri, Adharta memimpin perusahaan sekaligus sebagai pengambil keputusan. Lima belas tahun kemudian, beliau mulai merubah gaya kepemimpinannya dan masuk pada tahap delegation, dimana beliau merangkum dari para leader yang ada dan barulah beliau mengambil keputusan. “Saya perlahan tidak lagi mengambil keputusan tapi saya mulai melihat orang mengambil keputusan. Ada yang pilih merah, biru, putih, dan lainnya beserta alasannya, jadi saya tinggal memutuskan mau pilih yang mana”, ungkap Bapak Adharta.

Saat ini, Adharta memutuskan untuk tidak lagi mengambil keputusan dan memasuki tahap estafet kepada generasi selanjutnya. Walaupun demikian, beliau tetap membantu pada bagian pemilihan strategi perusahaan dan untuk implementasi telah diserahkan sepenuhnya kepada generasi selanjutnya. Sedangkan, Adhitya mengawali karirnya di PT. Aditya Aryaprawira dengan belajar secara langsung dari ayahnya dengan mengikuti beberapa meeting dan project yang sedang dijalankan pada pertengahan tahun 2007. Perlahan tapi pasti, kini Adhitya telah dipercaya menangani beberapa proyek yang berkaitan dengan transportasi laut, sistem safety, keuangan, hingga perekrutan sumber daya manusia.

Masa Depan PT. Aditya Aryaprawira

Sebagai salah satu penerima tongkat estafet dari generasi pertama, Adhitya memiliki misi khusus yang ingin dijalankannya ke depan, yaitu membawa PT. Aditya Aryaprawira menjadi lebih profesional dengan menjadi perusahaan terbuka serta melakukan IPO (Initial Public Offering) dan segera memulai regenerasi perusahaan terutama untuk staf ahli. Dari segi produk layanan, Adhitya memiliki mimpi untuk menyediakan layanan one stop shopping bagi para pelanggannya dari logistik darat, logistik laut, sistem logistik yang tangguh, hingga customer clearance. “Mimpi kita adalah kita ingin mengembangkan bisnis seperti konglomerat, dari hulu ke hilir untuk logistik sehingga kita dapat bekerja satu paket, lebih murah, lebih mudah dan lebih terkoordinasi”, ungkap Adhitya.
