Dr. Yane Chandera

About

Yane Chandera is an associate professor of Finance and is currently the Program Secretary of the Doctor in Management and Entrepreneurship Program at the Prasetiya Mulya School of Business and Economics. She received her BSc, BBA, and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, and her doctoral degree from Universitas Indonesia. She is a member of AFFECT (Academic Female Finance Committee), which strives for gender equality in the field of finance academics.

Her research focuses on a variety of issues in empirical corporate finance, including business groups, syndicated loans, ownership structure, mergers and acquisitions, and private placements. She is particularly interested in the ways that Indonesian business groups have evolved and impacted the Indonesian economy.

Her research has been published in reputable international journals, including the Research in International Business and Finance, Global Finance Journal, International Journal of Managerial Finance, and the International Journal of Emerging Markets. She is also the winner of the CGBF Best Paper in Banking, the 4th Sebelas Maret International Conference on Business Economics and Social Sciences (4th SMICBES) and Best Paper Awards, International Conference and Doctoral Colloquium in Finance (2017) [The 3rd Indonesian Finance Association Annual Conference].
